We offer ear piercing services for customers ages 8 and older. Customers ages 8–12 are eligible for first and second lobe piercings, while customers ages 13 and older can choose from approved lobe and select cartilage placements.
For Ages 13–17: Parental or legal guardian consent is required. Both the minor and the parent or legal guardian must sign a waiver, and the parent or guardian must be present for the duration of the appointment. Both the minor and the parent/guardian must provide valid photo IDs, such as a passport or driver’s license, as required by applicable law.
For Ages 18 and Older: No parental consent is required. You must bring a valid government-issued photo ID and sign a waiver at your appointment
In Florida, minors must also provide a notarized State of Florida Consent for Body Piercing of a Minor Child form. If the form has not been completed in advance, digital notarization can be completed on-site for a fee. Click here to access the form.
Customers under the statutory minimum age for receiving a body piercing without parental or guardian consent, as established by applicable law (the “Statutory Minimum Age”), must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the appointment and meet all applicable identification and consent requirements.

When you arrive, our team will help you choose from our curated selection of 14k gold or titanium studs—crafted for both safety and style. Our expert piercer will guide you through the process, ensuring you're comfortable every step of the way. Whether you're getting one piercing or up to four in a session, the entire appointment takes about 20 minutes, but we recommend arriving up to 10 minutes early to allow time for check-in, and completing any additional forms.
The service fee is $25 USD/$25 CAD/£20 GBP/$40 AUD per person, which includes a complimentary check-up for downsizing as your piercing heals.
For those ages of 13 & 17, a parent or guardian must be present, complete the waiver, and both must provide the required documentation, such as a valid ID, birth certificate, or school ID for the minor. We're here to make your piercing experience smooth and special. Just show up–and we’ll do the rest.

We ask for 24-hour notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment—this is out of respect for our piercers’ time and to allow other customers the opportunity to book.
While we offer a 5-minute grace period for late arrivals, we may not be able to accommodate your appointment beyond that, as appointment times are only 20 minutes. So please get in touch with us as soon as possible if you need to make any changes.

We'll review everything with you when you arrive, but the appointment can't proceed until all required identification, consent, and documentation have been verified.
We don't recommend using numbing cream before your appointment.
Numbing creams can temporarily change the appearance of the skin, making it more difficult for your Piercer to accurately assess your anatomy and safely place your piercing. If you've already applied numbing cream before your appointment, we'll work with you to reschedule your visit so we can provide the safest experience and best possible placement.
Every Mejuri piercing is performed using a sterile, single-use needle, which allows for precise placement and is less traumatic to the tissue than piercing guns.
Piercing appointments for customers above the Statutory Minimum Age are 20 minutes. Appointments for customers under the Statutory Minimum Age are 40 minutes, allowing additional time for consultation, consent, education, and questions.

Next, your Piercer will walk you through a personalized consultation, help you choose your jewelry, and mark your placement for approval before performing your piercing with a sterile, single-use needle. Every initial piercing is completed with sterilized 14k solid gold threadless jewelry and an implant-grade titanium flat back.
Before you leave, your Piercer will review aftercare, answer any remaining questions, recommend aftercare products to support healing, and help you schedule your complimentary 4–6 week check-up.
We currently offer piercings for ear lobes and select cartilage areas. Our professional piercers exclusively use Mejuri’s 14k gold and titanium studs.
Kindly note that customers ages 8–12 are eligible for first and second lobe piercings, while customers ages 13 and older can choose from approved lobe and select cartilage placements.
Every piercing is performed with Mejuri's threadless flat-back jewelry, featuring a 14k solid gold top and an implant-grade titanium flat back that's selected for comfort, security, and healing.
You'll choose your jewelry during your appointment with guidance from your Piercer. Only sterilized Mejuri piercing jewelry can be used for piercings—previously worn jewelry or jewelry purchased can't be used.
You can get up to four piercings per appointment, depending on your comfort and what your piercer recommends.
In many cases, yes. During your consultation, your Piercer will assess the area to determine whether it's suitable for re-piercing.
If the piercing has closed completely and the tissue has healed, re-piercing may be possible. If the area is still healing, irritated, or otherwise unsuitable, your Piercer may recommend waiting before proceeding.
Some redness, swelling, and tenderness are totally normal in the first few days after getting pierced. You might also experience some build-up around the jewelry, which is a sign that your body is healing.
However, if these symptoms worsen due to irritation or unnecessary interaction, it's important to consult a healthcare professional.
Every piercing heals differently. Most lobe piercings heal within 3–6 months, while cartilage piercings typically take 6–12 months.
Even if your piercing feels healed sooner, it's important to continue your aftercare routine and leave your jewelry in place until your Piercer confirms it's ready for its first jewelry change.
We recommend waiting until your piercing is fully healed before changing your jewelry. Changing it too soon can disrupt healing, increase irritation, and in some cases, the piercing may begin to close.Your complimentary 4–6 week check-up is a great opportunity for your Piercer to assess your healing and determine whether it's time to downsize your jewelry. Your first style change should wait until the piercing has fully healed.
A check-up appointment is a follow-up visit to ensure your piercing is healing properly and to downsize your jewelry for a more comfortable fit. Downsizing promotes safe, healthy healing and enhances comfort. We recommend scheduling this 4-6 weeks after your initial piercing.
Yes, our studios do accept gratuity, though it's entirely optional and appreciated.
Before you leave your appointment, your piercer will review the aftercare routine, answer any questions, and recommend aftercare products needed to support healthy healing. For best healing results, we recommend using a Sterile Saline Spray up to twice a day. We also highly encourage cleaning your piercing in the shower, and gently rinsing with warm water.
The aftercare routine is the same for every piercing, but younger children often need extra support throughout the healing process.
We recommend helping your child care for their new piercing throughout the healing period. Always wash your hands thoroughly before handling the piercing. Clean the piercing twice daily using a saline solution, such as the Mejuri Piercing Aftercare Solution. In the shower, allow warm water to gently rinse over the piercing to help remove any buildup, then pat the area dry with a clean paper towel. Avoid touching or twisting the jewelry, sleeping directly on the piercing, or submerging the piercing in water. Continue this aftercare routine until the piercing is fully healed, even if it looks or feels healed sooner.
Avoid touching or twisting the jewelry, swimming or submerging in water and let your piercing heal naturally. For more detailed aftercare tips, be sure to check out our Aftercare Page.If you experience any signs of infection, please consult a healthcare professional.
If you have questions or concerns at any point during healing, contact our Customer Experience team or your local Mejuri Piercing Studio—we're always here to help.
For safety reasons, you cannot get pierced if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding.
During these times, the body’s immune system and healing process can be more delicate, increasing the risk of infection and slower recovery. Plus, certain treatments or medications that might be needed in case of complications aren’t always safe to use. It’s best to wait until after this period for optimal healing and to ensure the best, safest experience for both you and your little one.
We prioritize your health and safety. Our piercing tools are single-use and sterilized, and we follow strict hygiene protocols in-store, maintaining a clean and sanitized environment to ensure the best possible experience.
We understand that every child is different, and sometimes plans change.
If you need to reschedule before your appointment, we're happy to help. If your child decides they aren't ready, becomes uncomfortable, or your Piercer determines it's not appropriate to proceed, we'll pause or stop the appointment. If no piercing is performed, you won't be charged the piercing service fee.
